Walking in Memphis

December 9th, 2014

My time on the computer has been really limited (with the exception of Christmas shopping), which also means my posting has been less than regular.

We spent some time traveling with family and friends- and went to Memphis. It was our first time to go and stay in the area, as opposed to ‘just passing through’ towards another destination- but it was a fun experience. It was a learning experience when we visited the home of a former abolitionist and listened to information about the Underground Railroad. It was humbling- and at the same time so sad to know that anyone could treat ANY human being less than human. I can’t even begin to understand or imagine.

We walked down Beale Street- heard some great music coming out of various cafe’s and clubs into the streets- and enjoyed some great food.

Now- we’re back home and life continues to show us how much we are blessed. I love spending the time with my family and friends, and can’t wait to see everyone else who wants to take time out of their schedules to spend time with us. I’m so grateful!

Right now- I have gifts to wrap- plus Fleur de Sel caramels to wrap for an order- but I’ll try to post more often.

Merry Christmas Season y’all!
