Tuesday Babblings

November 24th, 2009

Today ended up being less busy than I thought it would be. I was up at the break of dawn, or actually even before since it doesn’t get daylight until around 7:30 (and I was up at 6:30), I ran outside with JJ, then headed to the bath so I could make it to Bible study on time. It was my turn this week to bring the snack so I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss. I had a great time, just as I always do, and then once I got home ran a few errands.

Once I got home, I checked email and saw that one of my clients (and the only one I chose to work for this week) had unexpected company stop in the night before and were still there. We were able to get a little work done, but when they got up, we both stopped. It remains to be seen whether we’ll be working tomorrow or not. I think if not, then I’ll probably get started on some ghost writing that I have to get done for next week. I have 8 articles and two fictional stories and if I end up not having any other work tomorrow, then chances are I can do most of them tomorrow, providing the creativity is flowing.

I’m still finding that I’m not really in the Christmas spirit. I’ve been (monitor shopping) on Macys.com but I haven’t bought anything. They do have some Ralph Lauren shirts on sale for a great price, and I may actually end up buying a few of those, but I haven’t decided yet for sure. They don’t go on sale until Thursday, so I’ll see what happens then.

Thursday evening Marcel and I have decided to go see The Christmas Carol (the new one in 3-D with Jim Carrey). I’m hoping it kind of gets me in the spirit, since I”m struggling with whether to put a tree up or not. Part of me wants to, and the other part of me doesn’t want to have to deal with JJ trying to eat the tree. I just don’t know right now. Any suggestions:??

Speaking of JJ, I guess I really should wake him up and insist that he eat something so I can get him out for a walk. I took him earlier for about an hour and he was exhausted when we got inside. He’s been conked out pretty much ever since with the exception of when Marcel took him out for a quick walk.

Marcel’s working tonight, and I’m looking forward to the time home alone. I’m hoping to catch up on this season’s Survivor since I’ve only watched the first two episodes.

get a tree!! I could never get into the spirit unless I had a tree up. I won’t do one this year though since I’m on vacatio from the 12th and won’t be home until the 19th, and THEN I’ll be staying with Regina over Christmas.

    Get a tree!! ;-)

Put that tree up, girl!! It will get you in the spirit. The ugly part is taking those darn things down — but it sounds like you’re really busy with your writing. How exciting. But I know it takes a lot of time.

Hope you get to visit Carol when you go to Birmingham. She’s got a great pool, if it’s warm enough. Depends on when you’re going. But if not her jacuzzi is lovely too! I still need to post pictures from my visit. I’ll do that after the Thanksgiving :)

I’ll probably put up a tree this weekend. At least I think that’s what we are going to do. I don’t want to wait too late. I hope you have a great time on your vacation Dorrie and I know the girls and Regina will be thrilled to have you with them.

Hey Beth! Girl I’m going to get it up. I don’t think it would be very festive around here if I didn’t. You’re right though, the taking down part is always a pain, but then once everything is put away, the house seems to miss something. :)

I would love to visit Carol. I don’t know if she remembers me though. Do you remember Katie Whitt from high school? She’s also in B’ham. She’s on FB and looks fabulous and as sweet as she was in school. We’ll go for the holidays next year (Mid November until Mid January) and I can’t wait. I hope y’all get to come down that way. I’d love to see you!
