Travel- Trust30 (Day 5)

June 4th, 2011

Not everyone wants to travel the world, but most people can identify at least one place in the world they’d like to visit before they die. Where is that place for you, and what will you do to make sure you get there?

I absolutely LOVE traveling but there is one place that has been at the top of my list of places to see for as long as I can remember and that somewhere is Australia.  I don’t want to simply ‘visit’ Australia- but I want to experience it- as a country, a culture – from the Great Barrier Reef, to climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge- to visiting the ‘bush’ and also marveling Ayers Rock at sundown.      I want to spend time getting to know the people- and in fact, I have several ‘Aussie’ friends that I would also love to spend time with.      The only thing I am NOT interested in when it comes to Australia are the spiders- which definitely will have me on my guard for my entire trip, or at least most of it.

This is a trip I’d like to take within the next ten years-   I’d be almost 54 then- still young enough to enjoy everything and not have to worry about getting tired too easy-    I think Spring or Fall may be the perfect time.

I’d love to pose this same question to you-  Where would you like to most visit?

If we live truly, we shall see truly. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
