To Shop, or Not to Shop?

April 8th, 2009

To shop, or not to shop- that’s the question I’m asking myself today.

I’ve finally got my menu finished for Easter brunch, and I’ll probably share that a little later on today, since mom asked me to send it to her.    It’s going to be a mixture of this and that, but it should be fun getting everything ready.   I just hope that everyone will enjoy the food, and even though I know that there will be food left over, that will mean goodies to eat the following day.   That should make Marcel and everyone else happy.

One thing I do need, is a new tablecloth and possibly a table runner for my table.   I want something a little festive, and I need to decide if I’m going to actually order a centerpiece for the table, or if I’m going to allow Marcel’s easter basket filled with goodies to serve as the centerpiece.

Since the table is going to be filled with food, there probably won’t be room for a center piece to stay while we are actually eating, but I think it looks nice, so we’ll see.

What I did do, was pull a muscle or ligament in my knee (I think from running stairs), and I’ve been struggling with it a little.   Oddly, it doesn’t hurt when I’m on the elliptical, but yesterday Marcel and I went for a walk, and I wondered if I would have to ride on his back to get home. haha    Luckily, I did make it, and soaked it in a tub of hot water, which has seemed to help, but I’m a little nervous about pressing the issue.

I’d like to go to the town next to ours today- after all it is market day, and I always enjoy that, but I’m just not sure if I should.    I guess I’ll eat, work out, and see how I feel after a bath.

Happy “HUMP” Day everyone.

Oh, and I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it or not, but I’m in the process of getting things ready to start Wednesdays with Wizzy up again.   It may take me a little while, but it’s definitely something I’d like to do.  I always had fun with it.

Any suggestions?  Feel free to drop me a line.

You should make an easter tree!

I actually thought about it Kimmie. I think they are So cute. I use to make them all the time when I was younger.

I bought Marcel a boatload of chocolate haha.

Did you make an easter tree?

Oh my, your Easter celebration sounds so lovely. :) You always go to such ends to make everyone happy and feel loved, special lady that you are.

About that knee problem: Ahem! Please be careful and don’t aggravate it. Rest is most important when what happens as you describe, happens.

Also ice pack for 10 minutes every hour or two hours whichever you like to tolerate.

“Miniscus” is the most common knee problem we have when we have over-worked our knees.

In the very back of your knee cap, feel and see if it’s a little puffy or swelled. Or buldged.

That’s one sign of “Miniscus” of the knee.

Thinking of you, *hugs* and prayers,
    Judy

*hugs* I hope everyone will enjoy the Brunch. I love cooking, so it will be fun for me, plus give them something that isn’t traditional in terms of how they generally eat for Easter.

I already informed Marcel that I wouldn’t be buying the traditional things he suggested, AND told his sister not to expect them. She said they were excited, that they had never been to a ‘real’ brunch before. I hope not to disappoint.

    *hugs*

The knee is feeling a little better today, but I’m going to stay off of it aside from the ellitpcial tomorrow. Oddly using the elliptical doesn’t bother it.

Good! I’m glad your knee is feeling a little better. It was probably overworked when you ran up the stairs. *hugs*
