That Sinking Feeling

March 24th, 2010

When we moved into our home we had it completely gutted from the inside and had everything redone. The contractor who did our kitchen did a great job, or so we thought at the time, but have come to find out years later that he cut the hole for our stainless steel sinks too large and we have had problem after problem. Of course, we didn’t find this out until after the warranty was expired.

Recently, Marcel and I finally decided that we’re going to need to invest in something new for the kitchen and I’ve been researching companies who offer great prices and who are also reputable and I found Mr. Direct. We’ve found a stainless steel sink that we both like, now we just have to get it ordered and then find someone to install it who knows what they’re doing. I think while we are at it, we may decide to replace our entire counter top, but part still remains to be seen.

we are STILL going thru our remodeling. been a long time and we are so sick of having others here.

like you….we found flaws and one is similar to yours.except in our case they cut the hole too(!) close to the insert for the sink. the faucet continually loosens up and then flops around.

you learn and re-learn one thing for certain. the majority of contractors will “mislead you” when it comes to schedules.

they will also point out as many flaws of others as possible in order to obtain more work.

the only thing they are quick at?
    ….collecting their money!
