Southern Snow

December 2nd, 2012

A few days ago- we went for a ride through the countryside.   Something I noticed (and had forgotten about) was the field after field of cotton that is planted this time of the year-  otherwise coined as Southern Snow.    Many of the fields have been harvested, but this particular one hadn’t, so we stopped along the side of the road and I walked down the embankment and took pictures with my iPhone.

Seeing that field of white is breathtaking- and touching the little pods, so soft and fluffy.    It made my heart smile and reminded me once again, the joys of being home for the holidays.
