Personal Recipe-

Think about the type of person you’d NEVER want to be 5 years from now. Write out your own personal recipe to prevent this from happening and commit to following it. “Thought is the seed of action.”

The person I don’t want to be 5 years from now or EVER- is one who lives life too scared to take chances, or who has become bitter or a victim due to pain or obstacles that I encounter.   I want to never be jealous of those whom I love-  their successes and triumphs. I want to celebrate who they are and every moment of good that comes into their life.

To make sure I never become that person- I’ll continue to strive to be the best ME that I can be.  I will continue to realize that struggles, roadblocks and pains that happen in my life are just that and don’t define who I am, but what I’m going through at the moment.   I will not fall into the role of victim, no matter what I may face.    I can’t ever recall being jealous or insecure for the successes of those I love- because it genuinely makes me happy to see people do well. I plan to continue to feel that way and to continue to love and be the person that I am- while learning and growing along the way.

I do not wish to expiate, but to live. My life is for itself and not for a spectacle. I much prefer that it should be of a lower strain, so it be genuine and equal, than that it should be glittering and unsteady. I wish it to be sound and sweet, and not to need diet and bleeding. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
