Not What I Wanted To See

According to my scales, I’ve gained two pounds since Thanksgiving. Granted, I don’t believe that it’s anything more than water weight associated with that time of the month, and the fact that the last few days I’ve had more sodium than usual, but just seeing the scales move upward instead of downward is stressing me out. That, of course is also the last thing I need, since stress also seems to add the pounds in some cases.

I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me want to look for diet pills that work, but I know what I need to do- elliptical, strength training, walking/jogging and eat right. I’ve already recommitted myself, but the number, argh- that’s all I can say.
