Making the Grade

December 24th, 2012

Over the past couple of weeks, I noticed a lot of friends on FB who happen to be at various universities across the country were really struggling to make it through finals. There were a lot of all night study sessions at the library, a lot of coffee drank and a lot of praying and breath holding til final grades were out. With the exception of a few people- they all passed with flying colors.

I was talking to one of them the other day and they said that if it weren’t for the private tutoring that they don’t think they would have made it through the semester at all. She said that it was her first time trying a private tutor but it definitely wouldn’t be the last- and in fact, don’t know why she had waited until her Junior Year of college to give it a go. She thinks (and I agree) that it would have made a huge difference in her overall GPA if she had, but that things didn’t get really tough until this year. She’s got one more semester of Junior year and then off to the final year. I still have a hard time believing that it’s almost time for her to be a senior in college. One thing is for certain- I know she’ll graduate with flying colors and I’m so glad there are tutors who are willing to help make life a little easier.
