Late Night Thinking

April 27th, 2011

I don’t know what was wrong with me last night, but I couldn’t sleep. I was tired, but it was one of those nights when I couldn’t seem to turn off my brain and go to sleep. I thought about exercising, some projects that I have in the works, and I also thought about free web hosting as a solution to a question that someone had posed to me several days before.

I have a friend who is considering starting a small business but has absolutely no idea about how to get started and create a presence on this vast little world we call ‘cyberspace’. For some reason, she thinks I’m the technical guru and know everything, when nothing could be further from the truth. I love technology- and yes, I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to that sort of thing, but I suggested she get some ideas together and we’d go from there to set up a site. Any and every one is online these days and I figure her best chance for a huge success is to get herself out there online. She doesn’t have to have a huge following, but just make the right connections and word of mouth and networking will take care of the rest.. I don’t mind offering help where I can, but thinking about ideas- yep- it keeps me up at night. I finally did fall asleep around 3:15 a.m. and was up again before 9. Needless to say- it’s going to be an early night with hopefully nothing happening in the grey matter to keep me awake.
