Great Expectations

Yesterday I printed out my ‘recommitment to myself’ form for getting back on the health and fitness journey I started a year and a half ago. Granted, I haven’t abandoned that journey, but what I’ve noticed is that I’ve been more lax, and while that may be great in order to maintain weight (since I’ve only lost 10 pounds this year so far), it isn’t great when you want to get those last pounds off, so I’ve recommited.

Someone suggested that I check into top rated weight loss pills, and just take a few of those, but in all reality, it isn’t just about the pounds on the scale, it’s about the ‘big picture’- good health, well being, eating well, living well, and being true to ME, plus looking better in my clothes and being a healthy weight.

I think that we need to reconnect with ourselves from time to time, and remember where we are, and where we’d like to be. I personally believe that when we stop doing that, when we stop being conscious that things can easily get out of hand- not just weight, but every aspect of life.

I’m excited not only about the destination, but also about the journey and where it takes me. The most simple things open doors in places you never expected, and I, my friends am expecting great things.
