Getting Our Ducks in a Row

October 21st, 2010

Recently our bank sent us a letter that we would be receiving new bank cards, plus gave us an option for various new services. After reading about the banks credit card services we decided that it was better than our current credit card, so we canceled it and went with the banks card. We gave them all the informamtion they needed, but two weeks have passed and we haven’t heard anything. Today Marcel called the bank and the local bank said they couldn’t give us an estimate on when we would recieve our new cards because it was something that had been initiated at the main headquarters but if we wanted to come in to the local branch, they could let us sign the papers of the changes and they could take over the processing and we’d have our new cards within a week. We decided to do that and we should have everything on hand within a week and a half at the latest. With our time before vacation ticking away, we wanted to make sure we had all our ducks in a row before leaving.

On our way home, a guy tried to turn left when he was supposed to yield and came VERY close to plowing into Marcel’s side of the car. I screeched about the time I saw him heading towards our lane about the time Marcel slammed on brakes. The guy smiled and waved at us. He was in an old beat up car, and even though it would have been his fault, I’m so grateful that it didn’t happen.

The next few days are going to be busy ones- but I won’t forget 5 O’ Clock Friday’s– I hope you don’t either.
