Simply Wizardress

Is it me, or does it seem like the weekend flew by without giving us a chance to blink our eyes? I had a wonderful time on Saturday with the girls (and guys) in the city. The food was great, and fantastically organized, which reminds me that I need to jot off an email to the restaurant thanking them for the great service. Many times when you have a large group, the meal isn’t served at the same time, or some people are waiting forever to get their food or are forgotten. This wasn’t the case and everyone was happy.

I had a fantastic grilled salmon steak along with some grilled vegetables, all of which was heavenly. I wish I’d had more to eat at that point, because it was that good. When we finished, we headed over to Starbucks where I had a pumpkin spice latte for dessert. I did get skim milk, but also got whipped cream, which was a little silly, but it was oh so good.

Yesterday was one of those lazy days at home, or it should have been, but it ended up being a work day for me, plus a chance for me to take care of a few things around the house. Desere also stopped in for a few hours, which is always a good thing.

Right now I’m getting ready to chop some chicken breasts and red bell peppers so I can whip up some burritos a little later on. That’s going to be tonights dinner and I can’t wait.
