This morning Desere and I decided to make the best out of the gorgeous day we’ve been given, and headed to the beach for a few hours.
The weather is perfect for a day at the beach, and after a few cups of coffee, plus lots of chatter, we decided to have lunch.
There were several items on the menu that appealed to me- such as; tomato soup, French onion soup, sandwich with pesto, tomato, & fresh mozzerella fresh from the oven, or a salad of mixed greens, capers, sun dried tomatoes, purple onion, cucumber & tuna sushimi.
After deliberating over the menu for quite a while, I decided to go for the salad. I was a little aprehensive since I’d never had “raw” fishies, but I figure I only live once, so why not??
I was really glad I made the choice I did. The salad is in the top 5 that I’ve ever eaten- perfect!!! It had a light balsamic vinegarette dressing, which was a perfect combination with the fish. Oh, the salad also had two types of olives scattered throughout. Yum!!
After lunch we spent another hour or so chatting, then packed up and headed home.
Later, weather permitting, Marcel and I are going for a bike ride. I really enjoy it, and in spite of his complaints that I ride like I’m training for the Tour de’ France, so does Marcel.
