Eczema and Vertigo

July 26th, 2010

I went to the doc today after having some dizziness issues and an ugly rash on my neck that seemed to be getting worse and not better.    I knew that the dizziness was vertigo, but the doc wanted to check my blood pressure and such to make sure it wasn’t anything heart related.   My BP was 130/80 or something, which he said was great, plus my pulse was normal, and not skipping any beats, so that’s another good thing.

He did some tests and said he could see that I was having some inner ear issues that affected my balance, plus he looked at the rash and said that I have eczema.    I’ve been very tired from the dizziness but hope that in the next few days that I start feeling better.   He said if it lasted longer than 3 weeks then I would need to have tests to make sure that it wasn’t neurological.     He also told me that people who have had this before are more than likely to get it again,  but it has been quite some time since I had it last time.

Now, I guess I’ll just rest as much as I can and hopefully in the next day or so the medications will kick in and I’ll feel like doing something other than sleeping.  It has been highly frustrating to me because this has affected work and also my exercise routine.   I can’t do much about it, so I’m going to have to roll with it til things get better-  This too shall pass and I hope it’s sooner rather than later.

    Wizzy,

This is hearsay but I have heard that something not so good has happened to Susan & Matt from KCL. Anything you read or hear on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Love,
    Bobby

Hi Wizzy ~ I’m concerned about the dizzyness you are/have been having ~ As I found out almost too late with myself ~

I had been very fatigued ( more so than from just the chemo injection) and the dizzy spells really put a damper on my goings on!

I know how that is when we have to rest ~ ( God has His way of “making” us do things!)

In my case, it was a pulmonary embolism. No other signs, for about 6 months, then one day ~it happened.

The small “knot” feeling in my left side by the ribcage/breast area, and the dizzyness, and some pain associated with it too.

I will pray for you and let’s hope this will go away as asoon as possible.

So sorry to hear of this happening to you, sweety. *hugs* & Prayers

Bobby- I really haven’t heard anything at all other than what has been said about the lightning. I do hope they are ok though. *hugs*

Hey Sunny- You are right about God hoving his way of making us do things. I’ve been resting a lot and generally taking it easy. He did tell me that if it lasts longer than 3 weeks that he’s going to have me get some neurological tests done. He did do a battery of little tests and it definitely points to thbe inner ear issue.

I hope you are feeling better these days and that the antibiotics that you were recently taking have done what they were supposed to.
