Absence

July 31st, 2010

I’ve been mostly absent in my little blogging world for the past week and I’m sorry about that.    As you know, I’ve been dealing with the vertigo and I’ve been so tired on top of it that when I’m not working, I’m resting.

Unfortunately that has also meant that I’ve fallen behind on so much that my blogs have suffered, along with the housework.   I’m still very tired and dizzy, but I’m trying to push through and do a little catching up.   I tend to feel stressed when all my proverbial ducks aren’t in a row, so I’m trying to catch up before the new week begins.

I do have much to talk about, so hopefully this coming week will find me much more productive.

5 O’ Clock Friday’s Submission

July 31st, 2010

Mom too this picture yesterday at around 5 while she was on her way to her 45th High School class reunion.   This  year I celebrated my 25 year reunion, but I wans’t home in June to attend.  A group of us are planning to get together later on and celebrat and I’m looking forward to it.

I think this picture was made on River Road, or at least that is what it looks like to me.  Mom would have to confirm that, but I know their reunion was close to the Gulf and this isn’t far from the C0astal area.    Based on the pictures I’ve also seen from the reunion, mom and everyone who attended had a great time.

Thanks mom for sharing this picture and for bringing a smile to my face.   Can’t wait to see it again for myself, real soon.

More 5 O’ Clock Friday’s submissions coming after I get them from my other computer.

5 O’ Clock Friday’s

July 31st, 2010

Yesterday when Marcel brought the mail in, he handed me a large envelope.   I wasn’t expecting anything, and I knew I hadn’t ordered anything, so I had no idea what it was.   When I opened it, I saw this beautiful book, along with a card from a friend.  It was a belated birthday gift, and I was amazed at the pages within.

For those of you who know me-  know that I’m a huge fan of the movie Wizard of Oz , which also happens to be where my online ‘nickname’ Wizardress comes from.   This book is amazing!  It shows literally everything about the making of the movie from the costumes to the scripts.   I knew that I had to share it as this week’s 5 O’ Clock Friday’s submission.

If you’ve never seen the movie, then you don’t know what you are missing.   It truly is a classic.    I still hope to make it to Broadway one of these days to see Wicked and who knows, that may finally happen next year.   Thank you E. for thinking of me and for blessing me with your friendship and such a wonderful gift.

More 5 O’ Clock Friday submissions to follow and if you have one to share, it’s not too late.
