World Cup Fever- Netherlands -vs- Spain

July 11th, 2010

I couldn’t help but think this was cute when I went to Google a little while ago to look for something.   At first, I wondered what on earth it was, but then when I saw the flags, I realized.    I will be the first to admit that I’m not a huge soccer fan, but Marcel is, and that means we’re haing a little party today for the game.   We have a few friends coming over and the house is decorated with as much orange and soccer stuff that I could find.    It should make for a fun time for everyone, at least I certainly hope so.

Two days ago, I was on Twitter and I saw this little definition out to the side of my feed.  I decided to use the snipping tool and ‘snip’ it so that I could share.    I guess if Twitter says it’s so, then it is.

I hope that those of you watching will enjoy the game.   I will enjoy the atmosphere and the time spent with friends.   There’s nothing better than that.

It’s All Cosmetics

Marcel and I have been discussing getting some new window treatments for a while. We know we don’t need them for all the rooms, but right now we are concentrating on first the living room and then two of our three bedrooms. I decided to to online and get some ideas and I came across hillarys blinds, which gave me plenty of ideas. Something I had not considered too much was getting shutters, but when I saw some of the ones that were on the market now, I couldn’t help but think how great they would look. With free measuring and fitting, I know I couldn’t go wrong. Plus the thing I like most about them is on those warm days, I can close the shutters partially and it should help keep the heat outside where it belongs.

Marcel isn’t convinced yet on the shutters because he prefers blinds, but while I do like them both, there is just something that speaks to me when I look at the shutters. I looked at the cafe shutters first, but I actually think the full shutter would be the best option when trying to use them to also help keep the heat out. I guess we’ll wait and see, but I can’t help but get excited when we start making changes in the house.
