(On Location) At the Car Dealership

June 22nd, 2010

Marcel and I are at the car dealership where we bought our car so that we can get some sort of maintenance something-or-other done. As soon as we got here, I made a quick trip to the little girl’s room while Marcel made me a cup of coffee.

In fact, as I sit here typing this, I’m sipping on a latte, compliments of the dealership. I hadn’t indulged in coffee this morning, so these two cups are just what I needed. Who knows, I may even go for a third.

As soon as Marcel sat down at the table, there was a book filled with rim options that would fit on our car. The ones he fell in love with are 450.00 PER WHEEL!! Needless to say- that is not happening. Besides, the rims we have are perfect.

My cup is empty, so time for another cup of coffee or time to walk to the store around the corner. This little adventure is only supposed to take an hour. I hope they are right. I have work to do. In the meantime- coffee.

On Location (At the Train Station)

May 3rd, 2010

I noticed immediately from the lack of teenagers at the station this morning that there is spring break this week. I did see a select few that are now on the train with me, but for the most part things are quiet.

Last night was another night of fitful sleep, but I was happy to wake up with sunshine streaming through the windows. It is chilly out this morning but I honestly didn’t notice it that much because I was too busy enjoying the sunshine, watching an elderly man attempt to walk to energetic dogs who were almost as big as he was and checking the canals to see if I could see any of the baby ducklings I’d seen at the end of last week. I didn’t. I’m hoping that simply means they are in another part of the canal and haven’t become lunch for one of the herons. They are beautiful birds but I do chase them away when I see them stalking the ducklings. I can’t help it.

I’m SO sleepy and lethargic feeling this morning and I hope it’s something a cup of coffee wil fix. If not, then maybe some time on the elliptical.

On location (Morning Train)

April 20th, 2009

Good morning from the sunny, but chilly train station.

It’s the begin of a gorgeous day here in Neverland, and I figured since the train is delayed, I could take this moment to tap out a few words.

Marcel brought me to the station this morning. I generally walk, and always enjoy the time to observe my surroundings, but with my knee still giving me problems, I figured it best not to make the trek on foot. I think it’s a nerve issue, something pinching when I walk, but I can’t be sure, so if it doesn’t correct itself- off to the doc I go.

The train should be here momentarily, so let’s see if I have a connection to send this.

*EDIT*  I actually wasn’t able to send this until much later because I couldn’t get a connection until after Bible Study, and  then it was when I was sitting in the parking lot at the grocery store.   Since I don’t have phone service on my iPhone until July, I have to beg, borrow or steal wi-fi connections, and they aren’t always available.  (Shhhh, don’t tell the unsuspecting people with unsecured wi-fi connections).

Tomorrow, Marcel and I have plans to visit the tulip fields, so maybe, just maybe I’ll be able to get a signal and share a few things from ‘on location’.
